A Monday Grab Bag

Today I’m feeling a bit better from yesterday.  I slept for part of the afternoon and most of the night and woke up this morning around six forty, which, yes, seems early, but I feel like you can wake up at whatever time if you wake up on your own, you know?  No alarm I just decided it was time to get up.  And that’s okay.

It’s been starting to get warm lately, so that’s good.  Tomorrow, I think I’m going to start running for a little bit.  I have a new exercise routine penned down and I’m pretty excited about it.  I’m thinking running/cardio two to three times a week and then abs, butt, arms, and whichever one I think needs more work on the fourth day.  So there’s that.

Later today is the Panhellenic meeting and National Badge Day (you can see my note about that last year).  And I also have a job interview for a new restaurant, which is great because I know people who work there now (so my chances are good) and it might get me out of the bakery, which is good as well.  I’ll have to talk about that within the week.

So that’s pretty much how things are going.  I’m also getting back into writing all the things that make me happy every day (something else I’m talking about later) and getting my blog organized so we don’t have the weeks where I get apathetic and leave content to the side.  March is all about organization!  Here we go.  See you all tomorrow.

November Resolution Check In

So it’s the first day of November 2011…  Time to check in on our resolutions/Bucket Lists again!

Here is the numbered list I made back on January first:

1.  Travel:  Travel is still just Vegas, possibly?  Probably?  I am going to California for Allie’s wedding in December/January.  Lilac and I were talking about a trip to Montana and Wyoming at some point.  Because she was shocked I’d never been to Wyoming.

2.  Get an apartment:  The story here is the same as it is every month, pretty much.  But I might be changing career fields completely, so we’ll see.

3.  Get a car.  (See above)

4.  Keep blogging:  As of today, November first, this is my 300 and somethingth post.  I don’t know.  I have some drafts I need to get on posting.

Notes from last time:

The Beauty Bootcamp is going well thanks to an app on my baby.

As far as visiting the alma mater, I have been there three times in October.

And from 24 by 24 (I’ll only list the ones with some headway that haven’t been mentioned above):

11.  Watch Titanic sixteen more times.  I watched it once in October.  I’m watching it right now, but this isn’t exactly October.  Nine more to go officially (but I’m working on that ninth viewing now).

12.2.  House Maintenance.  I’m not really following FlyLady to an exact science, but I’ve got my own routine down.

20.  Meet a nice guy in a bar.  I also met Cameron and Jason.  One’s new, one’s not going as well as it could be…  We’ll see….

22.  Embrace being a woo girl.  I’ve kind of traded this in for being a Coloradoan belle.  It’s going well.

23.  Complete at least 3/4 of NaNoWriMo.  It’s November first!  GO!

25.  Get back into being Greek.  I slacked a little this month due to transportation issues.  I hope to change that this month.

We’ll check on this Bucket list in December again.  I hope everyone else is keeping up with their bucket lists.

To Do List Tuesday Number Three

And we’re back to To-Do Lists!  I’m not actually doing any of this today per-se, because my first day off since last friday is going to be this coming saturday, so these to-do list items will probably get pushed back a bit.

Today

Clean

Address Book

Beauty Bootcamp

This Week

Buy a new phone.

I’m starting to realize that my to-do lists are the same week to week, so I’ve stopped explaining them…  This is getting kind of boring isn’t it?

To-Do List Tuesday Number Two

Welcome back to To-Do List Tuesday.

Today

Clean the sink and dishes.  I’m really doing a terrible job of doing this every day.  I just really hate doing the dishes.

Put away laundry.  Time to put laundry away so I can finish cleaning my bedroom.

Get into following the FlyLady.  Why start a regiment if you won’t follow it?

Beauty Bootcamp.  Bootcamp time!

Pick a recipe.  I’m going to start working on the cooking thing.  So I’m going to pick a recipe to make this week.

Work on my address book.  I’ve decided I won’t get a new phone until I finish it.

Watch Titanic.  Gotta get on this.

This Week

Make that recipe for the Fab Five event.

Return to the restaurants I applied to and reiterate my interest.

Go to new restaurants and apply.

To-Do List Tuesday

Rolling out a new feature here at the blog, yay!

So, lately I’ve been letting my cleaning and getting things done go by the wayside.  I’ll blame the GRE and work, but at least a bit of it is a lack of wanting to do things.

So, now I want you all to help hold me accountable!  Every Tuesday, I’m going to post my To-Do List for the day, or the week and we’ll see how much I get done!  Yay!

Feel free to respond with your To-Do Lists and progress too.

Today

Clean the sink and dishes.  I actually found the Fly Lady through Budget Blonde and I think I could use her help.  Regiments are my favorite!

Put away laundry.  Yesterday I did laundry.  Today it’s time to put it away.

Beauty Bootcamp.  I picked up my dress yesterday, more on that later, but I want to make sure I continue to fit into it.

Pick a recipe.  I’m going to start working on the cooking thing.  So I’m going to pick a recipe to make this week.

Work on my address book.  I’ve decided I won’t get a new phone until I finish it.

This Week

Make that recipe.

Return to the restaurants I applied to and reiterate my interest.
