Dear Bathroom Doors….

So I’ve been back to work for a couple of days now and I’ve been noticing something about bathroom doors.

Why would you put the handle to open the door on the inside?

It’s a known fact that many many people do not wash their hands after going to the bathroom.  So even if you wash your hands, even if you obsessively wash your hands, if you touch that door handle, you’re suddenly subjected to other people’s germs.

I find this especially funny in restaurant bathrooms with their big “employees must wash hands before returning to work.”

Those poor employees will wash their hands and still maybe get germs around your food because you don’t.  Sucks, right?

Doors should have handles on the outside and push open from the inside.
